    What Documents Do You Need?

    To import your car, you’ll typically need:

    Bill of Sale
    Copy of passport or NZ driver’s license
    Proof of clear title (HPI Gold Report for UK)
    NZ Customs client code
    Other documents based on origin (see our vehicle import documentation)

    Shipping Options

    We provide regular weekly shipping from the UK to NZ. Options include:

    Containerised Shipping – Ideal for cars and SUVs
    RORO (Roll-on/Roll-off) – Used for oversized vehicles like motorhomes or vans

    Note: RORO services do not allow personal items in the vehicle due to international shipping regulations.

    Cleaning & Border Biosecurity

    To meet NZ MPI standards, your vehicle must be thoroughly cleaned before shipping. Any residual dirt or foreign matter may result in costly border delays or re-cleaning. Our team ensures your vehicle is prepped properly to reduce risk and cost.

    Marine Insurance

    We strongly recommend comprehensive marine insurance for all vehicle imports. It covers unforeseen risks during sea transport and provides peace of mind. Our team can arrange cover as part of your logistics plan.

    NZ Clearance & Delivery

    Once your vehicle arrives in NZ:

    We process all paperwork with NZ Customs and MPI
    Manage inspections (MPI & IVS Structural)
    Coordinate unpacking at a compliant facility
    Arrange GST assessment (where applicable)
    We can also advise on GST exemption opportunities if you’re a returning resident.

    After clearance, your vehicle is released within 3–4 working days and delivered to your nominated compliance centre or home address.
